All funds raised through our workshops go straight back into the community work we do.
Once a month Soil for Life offers a comprehensive and hands-on gardening workshop, that aims to fill you with confidence and inspiration. Join acting director of Soil for Life Jo Fuller and learn to grow food naturally, working with the rhythm of the seasons and the biodiversity that exists in your garden. Anyone can join!
Learn to build your soil using natural materials that are freely available to you with methods that are environmentally sound. This workshop offers hands-on experience in how to make and use compost. You will learn about different types of compost, about making balanced food for your plants and about cultivating plants that will feed your soil.
This is a specialised composting workshop in which you will learn about earthworm composting, and the benefits to your household and garden. You will learn how to create the correct environment for your worms, and how to harvest and use vermicompost and liquid manure produced by your worms.
What do you do when the snails take charge of your garden? Ordinary bait? If, then be aware that’s exactly what you will be eating later. In this workshop we want to equip you with the knowledge and skills to control pests organically and in balance with nature.
